Winterize

When you book in for a winterize, we like to make sure come spring it’s as easy as putting your boat in the water and going. Outboard winterizing consists of; replacing gear oil, removing prop to lube and inspect the seals and shaft, greasing ALL lube points, checking and recording compression, greasing steering linkage, running up and inducing storage sealer, inducing fuel stabilizer, checking the spark plugs, and batteries, and draining carbs.

Inboards winterizing consists of; replacing gear oil, removing prop to lube and inspect shaft and seals, inspecting hoses and belts, checking and recording compression, inducing fuel stabilizer, running up and inducing storage sealer, draining all raw water areas, back-filling with environmentally friendly RV antifreeze, lubing the steering linkage, checking spark plugs and batteries, and checking all fluid levels.

We also recommend getting a full service and/or oil change at the time of your winterize so you are 100% confident in turning the key and going in the spring. During this booking, it’s also a great time to make the mechanics aware of any issues or concerns regarding your boat/engine.
