HOW OFTEN SHOULD I FLUSH MY MOTOR WHEN RUNNING IN SALT WATER?

According to any warranty, your motor should be flushed when running is salt water every time you use it for at lease 10 minutes with fresh water to remove all salt, muddy, or heavily polluted water. So you don’t get a build up which can cause serious and costly repairs. We do carry a product called “salt-away” which we suggest you use.

Oil changes should be done every 100 hours or once a year. If you are buying a new mercury motor from us we suggest you get a 20 hour service. This will give us a chance to make sure all is in good working order.
