Office manager. Raised in the Cowichan Valley.
You will find me most days in the office answering phones, booking in customers, ordering parts or god knows what. But don’t ask me mechanical questions, at that point I will be more than happy to get one of our qualified mechanics to get all your questions answered and your concerns addressed. Then I will be happy to get your repairs booked in.
Dean and I have known each other since we were children and have been together going on 16 years, he never hesitates to teach me more about the business if he could he would have a wrench in my hand most days.
I think we have a great team here and welcome you to come in and get to know us.
Shop Foreman. Mercury Certified Technician. Raised in the Cowichan Valley.
Hi, my name is Terence and I have always had an interest in mechanics since I was a kid. My family has always maintained their own Vehicles, which is where my learning and tinkering started.
I began my trade in 2011 attending VIU. I also have experience in construction and even though Marine Mechanics is my career, I still enjoy getting out and seeing what I can build. In my free time, I keep myself busy doing online courses, working towards getting my mercury certification. Also, taking the time to talk to our customers, answering questions and getting to know you all makes me enjoy my job even more.
Journeyman. Suzuki Certified Technician. Born and raised in Bamfield, BC.
Hi, my name is Lucas. Growing up on a float-house allowed me to experience the majestic west coast. I was immersed in boating from a young age, as it was my main source of transportation. I remember being 8 year old when I first became fascinated with the way engines worked; which 12 years later led me to pursue a career in Marine Mechanics from VIU. I did my apprenticeship at Breakers Marine, where I obtained my Suzuki certification. After completing my apprenticeship in Bamfield, I moved to the Cowichan Valley to further my experience in the field. On my spare time, I enjoy working on small engines and automotive projects. I am excited to learn more about Mercury engines and increase my knowledge by becoming Mercury certified.
Mercury Certified Technician. Born and raised in the Cowichan Valley.
Hi, my name is Chase. Before my interests in the marine industry I was fixing your wheels as an automotive mechanic in Cobble hill. Being born as a mechanics son I’ve learned to pull wrenches at a very young age and always continued to learn more over the years. I might not be under the hood of a car as much anymore, but more likely upside down in a boat, or stretching my arms trying to start a kicker. When i’m not at work, you can find me taking online courses working towards my mercury certification or i’m spending time with family members and working on my many projects.
Mercury Certified Technician. Born and raised in Yellowknife.
Hi, my name is Richard. I started my career fixing everything from weed wackers to forklifts in 2006. As soon as I started, I knew I was hooked. In 2008 I moved to another company and was working towards my Outdoor Power Equipment Certification specializing in the BRP line up.
After moving to the beautiful Cowichan Valley, I decided to change Marine Maintenance.
Usually on my time off you will see me with my family or SCUBA diving in the area. I enjoy talking with people about almost anything so if you see me around, I’m more than willing to chat.
Hi, my name is Travis. My passion for mechanics started at a young age, turning wrenches with my dad on hot rods and dirt bikes.
After spending 11 years driving big rigs, most recently as an owner/operator I discovered that I enjoyed my time spent under the hood much more than holding the steering wheel.
When I’m not at work or studying for my Mercury certification, you might find me in my shop on Thetis hopping up chainsaws or tinkering on my old Dodge 12 valve.
